Get started
- Install the free receiver on a Mac running macOS 27 or later. Review microphone use and grant access during setup.
- Connect your Mac and iPhone to the same private Tailscale network. Use the HTTPS address shown by the Mac.
- In iPhone Settings → Connection Mode, choose Direct to Mac (Tailscale) and scan the Mac’s QR code. Purchase or restore the annual plan, then approve the Mac. One Mac receives at a time.
- Create audio using built-in Japanese text-to-speech or import a WAV, preview it, and save it. Select a volume before broadcasting.
The Mac must be powered, online, logged in, and have receiving enabled. A sleeping or powered-off Mac cannot start a broadcast immediately.
Connection problems or an unknown send result
- In iPhone Settings → Connection & Diagnostics, check the last status update, Mac connection, and receiver readiness.
- Check the Mac’s power, login, network, and receiving setting, then select Refresh Status on your iPhone.
- If a response is unconfirmed, use Check and retry the same command while it is available. Avoid repeatedly creating new commands. After expiry, refresh the status before selecting another action.
- Open Detailed Diagnostic Log and filter by broadcast ID to follow sending, receipt, playback, and recording upload. Receiving an HTTP response is separate from broadcast completion.
A single error does not permanently disable receiving. After reconnection, the app reconciles its status and retries operations such as recording upload. Reconnection alone never replays an expired broadcast.
Change the jingle
In iPhone Settings → Pre-broadcast Jingle, turn it on or off, select a WAV or M4A, preview, replace, or clear the audio. It is on by default. Changes apply to future broadcasts, including Watch commands. If only the jingle fails, the receiver attempts the message and records a diagnostic event.
A recording is missing or does not play
On the Mac, check receiver permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone, and the input device in Sound → Input. Restarting the receiver when no broadcast is active may help the initial permission take effect.
Reconnect the Mac, then refresh recording status on iPhone or Watch. Broadcast completion and recording upload are separate results; a recording error does not necessarily mean the broadcast failed. Also check the listening device’s output and volume.
Use Apple Watch
For initial registration, choose Register Watch with This Service in iPhone Settings, then open the app on your paired Watch. In direct mode, iPhone relays commands, status, and recordings. It must be reachable from the Watch and have its Tailscale connection enabled. The Watch does not connect to the Mac’s private Tailscale address by itself. In cloud mode, the Watch can send commands directly to the broadcast service using its own Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
Replace a Mac or iPhone
Scan the new Mac’s address and verification code. Switching first requests revocation from the previous Mac; only confirmed revocation allows purchase restoration to the new Mac. If the previous Mac is offline, its registration is retained and the switch does not finish. Bring it online and retry. On a replacement iPhone, restore the annual subscription using the purchasing Apple Account.
Delete your data
Use iPhone Settings → Delete Account to delete your service account, saved audio, confirmation recordings, and Mac and Watch registrations. If the result is unknown, the app retains credentials and offers a check or retry instead of claiming success.
Direct mode stores audio and recordings on your own Mac. Cloud mode stores them on the provided Cloudflare broadcast service. The cloud service address is https://mac-alarm.11881100.xyz. Uninstalling an app or replacing the Mac does not delete audio stored at your connection endpoint. The latest-seven view is not automatic deletion. This iPhone cannot erase originals or caches remaining on the Mac or Watch. See Privacy for details.
Subscription renewal and cancellation
The Japan price is ¥5,000 per year as an auto-renewing subscription. Restore purchases or open subscription management from iPhone Settings. Deleting the service account does not cancel Apple subscription renewal. Use Apple’s subscription management to cancel. See the Terms of Use.

Include your app and OS versions, the time, the device used, and the displayed status. Detailed Diagnostic Log → Share produces structured text with broadcast and command IDs, stages, and numeric errors.
Do not send passwords, Apple verification codes, private keys, device tokens, pairing QR or verification codes, or signed purchase data. Broadcast text, on-site recordings, and audio titles are not needed for a normal support request. Hide them in screenshots.
